One of the Kagerangers of the Seishin Sentai Kagerangers, Kasumi Mikage, aka Kage Blue, is attacked by the Kage Dragon and the Kage Tiger, who appeared during the battle against the phantom ninja Kumonza of Makanja, an evil ninja group that wants to rule the world. The two belonged to the Kage Killers, the dark clan of the Kage Rangers. It was a clan that Kasumi and the others didn't know about, and they had done the dirty work that the Kagerangers couldn't do. The two of them have teamed up with Makanja to destroy the Kagerangers, and have been aiming for their first target, Kasumi. Kage Blue is defeated by an overwhelming force and becomes a prisoner.
